Amanda started her career at Hair and Things in 2000.  All of her training was completed in the salon through an apprenticeship while attending WCTC's barber/cosmetology program.  Our apprenticeship program has been a very successful way of training many of our staff by giving them a hands-on, one-on-one training experience. 

Amanda believes that you can never stop learning in this industry.  She has attended a variety of hands-on classes as well as shows around the United States to advance professionally and stay current in the trends.  Her continued education has given her extensive knowledge in men and women's cutting and coloring as well as updo styling, and recently became certified on Keratin Complex Smoothing System.  She is also very dedicated to giving you a memorable overall service when you come into the salon.  It is very important to her to listen and educate any client that sits in her chair.  Her goal is to give the client a look that they feel confident about and that they can easily maintain when they leave the salon.

She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others.  She has taught a variety of classes to other stylists in the industry.  This has led her to now train new stylists into our salon and is currently training an apprentice of her own. She enjoys all aspects of the hair industry and is currently looking to take on new clients and referrals.
